Preliminary Competition to the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program, a New Hampshire non-profit scholarship organization
Our Mission
We help to empower young women by awarding scholarship money to those competing for the titles of Miss Lakes Region and Miss Lakes Region’s Teen, and Miss Lilac State and Miss Lilac State’s Teen. Participants in this program demonstrate a level of excellence in the areas of scholastic achievement, performing arts, healthy living, leadership, and community involvement. We believe that the implementation of our mission not only serves to further the education of our participants, but also the New Hampshire communities in which these women choose to volunteer, work and live.

OUR HISTORY
Miss Lakes Region Scholarship Program began 22 years ago under the direction of Wayne and Debbie Sévin who volunteered endless hours to our young NH Women and brought many of their Title Holders to the State Scholarship Competition and winning the coveted Title of Miss New Hampshire and then competing for the title of Miss America.

As I am preparing for graduate school to become an anesthesiologist assistant, it has been overwhelming to see the price tags on these programs. Competing in the Miss America organization has allowed these dreams to become more realistic financially. Within my first year of competing at the local level, I have earned over $8,000. I look forward to competing at the state program in the spring, possibly earning more. This program also empowers me and gives me life skills I will use in my future education and career including, public speaking, self confidence, time management, and leadership skills.

My name is Jana El-Sayed and I am ecstatic to be your Miss Lilac State and spend the year championing NH children all over the state. At Miss Lilac State, I was blessed to win $7,000 in scholarship thanks to the Miss Lilac State Organization and over $45,000 in scholarship competing in the Miss NH Scholarship Program over the years. These scholarship dollars have helped me afford higher education earning my B.S. in Psychology and my M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis. My next goal a PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Hello everyone, I am Kaila Lumpkin, your Miss Lakes Region’s Teen. I have been part of the Miss NH Organization since I was 10 years old. I started in the princess program and from there I joined the teen program. This is my last year as a teen, it means a lot to me. I am beyond ecstatic to represent the Lakes Region. I have done multiple events and volunteered in this area and plan to continue to do even more. I won $200 for overall talent and interview winner. I also won $1,500 for receiving the title. I will use this scholarship to further my education. I plan to go to school to get a Bachelors in Fine Arts. It is my dream to perform for the rest of my life.

Hello my name is Isabel Dwyer I’m your Miss Lilac states Teen, this title means a lot to me especially since it’s my first title ever, and I’ll be using it to promote my CSI Awareness of Athletic Concussions. It’s an honor to be representing the lilac state! I’ve won $1,600 in scholarship dollars and I’ll be using it towards a college education where I want to major in communications. I’m so excited for this amazing year!
